kirtibhvti danen tatha arogyam hinsya trijshushrushya rajyan dvijatvan cha'pi pushkalam. panimasya pradanen kirtirbhavati shashvati annasya tu pradanen triptayante kambhogtah.. dan se yash, ahinsa se arogya tatha brahmanon ki seva se rajya tatha atishay brahmatva ki prapti hoti hai. jaldan karne se manushya ko akshay kirti prapt hoti hai. annadan karne se manushya ko kam aur bhog se purn tripti milti hai. dani vyakti ko jivan men arth, kam evan moksh sabhi kuch prapt hota hai. kalyug men kaise bhi diya gaya dan mokshakarak hota hai. tulsi dasji ne kaha hai- pragat char pad dharm kahi kalimhi ek pradhan yen ken vidhi dinhai dan kahi kalyan. dan ki mahima ka ant nahin sansar se karn jaisa udaharan dani ke rup men koi nahin. dan ke vishay men charcha karne se purva ek bat spasht karna chahte hai. kamaen niti se, kharch karen riti se, dan karen priti se. ‘‘dan magar kalyan’’ yah vakya samanyatah hamen sunne ko mil jata hai, kintu samanya vyakti ke man men anekon prashn uth khare hote hain-

1. dan kya hai ? 2. dan kyon karen ? 3. dan ka mahatva kya hai ? 4. dan kaise karen ? 5. dan kisko karen ? 6. dan ka fal kya hota hai ? parmatma ne pratyek prani ko jivit rahne ke lie, parivar ka palan poshan karne ke lie jivika pradan ki hai lekin sansar men aise praniyon ki bhi kami nahin hai jo atyant nirdhan hain, lachar hain, ashay hain, apang hain tatha ashakt hain. un praniyon ke jivan ki raksha karna hamara param kartavya hai kyonki param pita parmeshvar ne hamen is yogya banaya hai ki ham apne parivar ke palan poshan ke sath-sath, apni avashyaktaon ki purti ke bad bhi, anya majbur tatha ashakt logon ki madad kar saken. manushya ke atirikt jiv-jantu jo svayan apne bhojan ki vyavastha nahin kar sakte hain, unki jimmedari bhi bhagvan ne manav ko di hai. islie manav matra ka param kartavya hai ki vah apne parivar ke atirikt jiv-jantuon adi ke lie bhi bhojan ka prabandh kare yug ke anusar dan dene ke tarikon men bhi parivartan aya hai jaise-

1. satyug men dan- adar ke sath shraddhapurvak kisi ke ghar jakar diya jata tha. yah uttam dan kahlata hai.

2. treta yug men dan- is yug men patra ko apne ghar bulakar samman purvak dan diya jata tha.

3. dvapar yug men- yachna karne par arthat mangne ke bad dan diya jata tha.

4. kalyug men dan- tahalakar arthat kam lene ke bad dan diya jata hai jo lagabhag nishfal hota hai . atah har yug men dan ka mahatva raha hai.

alg-alag dhang se dan kiya jata raha hai parantu jab hamko gyan ho chuka hai to kyon n uttam prakar ka dan adar sahit daridra ke ghar jakar samman purvak diya jaye, jiska purn fal prapt hota hai. parmatma bhi prasann honge tatha apko bhi khushi milegi.

dan kyon karen ?

- lagabhag sabhi dharmon ke anusar hamen apni ay ka kuch bhag avashya hi dan karna chahie. aisa sabhi dharm granthon men likha hua hai tatha ham apne purvajon tatha bujurgon se sunte ae hain ki hamen apni kamai men se kuch n kuch bhag avashya hi dan karna chahie. bhojan banane ke bad bhagvan ko bhog lagae bina grahan karna pap saman mana jata hai. atah bhagvan ko bhog lagane ke bad ashrit jiv-jantuon ka bhag nikalna chahie. is kriya ko ham sabhi ke purvaj (dadi, nani adi) karte chale ae hain. kisi bhi tyohar, tithi vishesh (amavasya, purnima, ekadshi adi) par to brahman, pandit, pujari adi ko bhojan karakar dakshina dena hamara param kartavya mana jata hai. hamare shastron ke anusar bhi is prakar se kiya gaya dan avashyak tatha uttam hota hai. is pratha ko ham apne as pas sabhi sthanon par dekhte chale ae hain. dan kisi par ahsan karke nahin karna chahie kyonki yah to hamari svechcha tatha shraddha par nirbhar hota hai tatha dan dete samay apne dukhon, kashton, daridrya adi ko kam kiya jana hi jatak ka uddeshya hota hai. anisht grahon ki shanti tatha vibhinn prakar ke kasht nivaran ke lie bhi dan kiya jata hai.

1. purnima ke din chandra grah ke nimitt dan karen.

2. somvar ke din safed vastron ka dan karen.

3. manglvar ke din chairahe par sarson ka tel dalen.

4. budhvar ke din ganesh ji ko laddu ka bhog lagakar bal gopalon ko bante/dan karen.

5. shanivar ke din adarak athva sarson ke tel ka dan karen.

dan ke niyam-

1. dan uchit patra ko hi den.

2. dan shraddhapurvak den.

3. dan shuddh hriday se den.

4. dan kisi bhi prakar ka prachar karke n karen.

5. dan apni kundali ka vishleshan karake uchit patra ko den.

6. dan din/ var ke anusar karen.

7. dan shatru grahon ka n karen.

8. dan uchch ke grahon ka n karen.

9. dan nich ke grahon ka avashya hi karen.

10. dan kundali men sthit shashtam, ashtam tatha dvadash bhavon ke svamiyon ka hamesha karen.

11. dan savere ke samay bina munh jutha kie arthat bina khaye-piye hi karen.

12. dan ghar se bahar niklte samay hi dena chahie.

13. dan anjan/ajnbi vyakti ko hi karna chahie.

14. dan kisi daridra v jaruratamand ko hi karen.

15. dan aise vyakti ko karna chahie jo dobara n dikhe ya n mile.

16. dan ki gai vastu ko us din grahan n karen.

17. dan apni kshamata ke anusar hi karen.

18. dan karke kabhi bhi n jataen.

19. dan is prakar se karen ki ek hath se karen to dusre hath ko pata bhi n chale.

20. dan karke bhul jaen use kabhi yad n karen.

21. dan ka hisab n lagaen.
