mantra-sadhna karne se pahle snan adi karke bahya shuddhi kar len. kapre dhule hue, saf svachch tatha aramdayak hone chahie. jis sthan par sadhna karen vah sthan shuddh v satvik tatha vahan ka vatavaran thik hona chahie. jab mantra sadhna karen to kisi asan par baithakar karen.
mantra sadhna yadi kisi vishesh prayojan se kar rahe hain to satya bolen, madhur bolen, krodh n karen, brahmacharya se rahen aur tamsi vriÿiayon ka parityag karke hi sadhna men sanlagn hon. vyakti ka khan pan shuddh, satvik tatha doshon se rahit hona chahie. mantra ka jap mala se karna chahie.

yadyapi pratyek shabd arth ki shakti rakhta hai aur use jane bina bhi uska prabhav hota hai, tathapi mantra ke arth ko bhi jan liya jaye to mantra ka prabhav kai guna barh jata hai aur lakshya ki prapti sahaj ho jati hai. jahan tak mahamrityunjay mantra ka prashn hai, to yah keval rogadi ke upchar ke lie hi nahin hai, yah jivan ki pratyek mrityuvat kathin paristhitiyon se bahar lane ka sahaj aur paripurn sadhan hai. lekin iski sadhna men is mantra se jure sabhi vidhinishedhon ka shat pratishat palan karne se lakshya ki siddhi bhi shatapratishat hoti hai. karmakandanishnat pandit ke madhyam se kiya gaya mantra ka jap chamatkarik parinam deta hai.
