chehra parhakar bhavishya bataen kisi vyakti ke chehre par vibhinn bahya tatha antrik tatvon ke karan, uske vyaktitva ki jhalak dikhai de jati hai. chehre ki akriti ko parhne ka gyan mukhakriti vigyan aur samudrik vigyan ke adhyayan se prapt hota hai, aie janen.
kabhi bhi kisi vyakti ki mukhakriti dekhakar bhavishya kathan kiya ja sakta hai lekin kisi ek lakshan ke adhar par turant kisi nirnay par nahin pahunch jana chahie, kyonki chehre ka koi ek lakshan sanpurn bhavishya ka suchak nahin hota. atah shubhashubh lakshanon ke sukshm vishleshan ke bad hi kisi nirnay par pahunchna uchit hota hai.
‘‘samudrik shastra vah kala athva vigyan h,ai jisam ne manav ki makhu aakriti ya sanpurn sharirakriti ke bahya chihnon ya lakshanon ke sanyog se uske vyaktitva ki pradhan charitrik visheshtaon ka adhyayan kiya jata hai.’’
