is hetu bhrigu ne ek jyotish sanhita ki rachna ki jo bhrigu sanhita ke nam se vikhyat hui. kaha jata hai ki bhrigu sanhita sanskrit bhasha men bhojapatron par likhi gai thi, jise dakshin bhartiya jyotishiyon ne tar ki pattiyon par sanketik tamil bhasha men anuvadit kar liya.

ye karoron kundliyan kisi ek granth ke rup men samahit nahin hain. is sandarbh men kinvdanti hai ki parvati ke shrap ke karan maharshi bhrigu dvara nirmit janm patrikaen yatra-tatra bikhri hui hain. alg-alag sthanon par vibhinn vyaktiyon ke pas ye patrikaen aj bhi maujud hain.

kintu jis kisi ke pas bhrigu sanhita ke matra do-char hajar panne hi hain, vah asli bhrigu sanhita shastri hone ka dava karta hai. jammu-kashmir ke rajkiya pustakalay men bhrigu sanhita kuch varshon pahle thi, jiski prishth sankhya 1,60,000 hai.
