He started writing poetry at the age of 8. He introduced new prose and verse forms and the use of colloquial language in Bengali literature. His individuality and self expression was highly influential in introducing the best of Indian Culture and is rightly regarded as the outstanding creative artist of modern India. His parents wanted to make him a barrister and for this purpose he was sent to England for study. But his individuality (1 talent), thought of freedom (Destiny 5), to do something extraordinary for countrymen (Personality 8) through creative writing and painting etc.

Forces of 4,5 & 8 filled him with extra power and energy and as a result he denounced the Raj and advocated independence from Britain. As a humanist, universalist, internationalist and an exponent of Bengal Rennaissance, he advanced a vast canon that comprised paintings, sketches, texts and songs.

Nobel Prize in 1913: The most notable achievement for his literary activities came in 1913 when he was conferred the nobel prize for literature for his book ‘Gitanjali’. But it didn’t happen because other numbers were extremely powerful and supportive, so this small negativity got overshadowed. Knighthood was conferred in 1915 but renounced in 1919: In 1915, he was conferred the knighthood by the king of Britain George V, but he renounced this title in 1919 in protest against the Jallianwala bagh massacre.
In 1919, his Event Number was 22/4 which compelled him to renounce such a great honour for some bigger and greater cause of humanity and the world. His creative endeavours manifested in such a way and he is so respected that his two creations became the National Anthem of two countries. Jana Gana Mana was adopted in India and Amar Shonar Bangla was adopted in Bangladesh as National Anthem.
