ling ka shabdarth nishani, pahchan, svarup adi hai. yah brahmand ka svarup hai. siddhantashekhar namak granth men kaha gaya hai ki ling panch tarah ke hote hain- 1.svayanbhu (khud prakat, amrnath adi) 2. devpalit (kedarnath adi) 3.rishi krit yani avtar mahapurush rishi muni dvara pujit (rameshvaram adi) 4. shiladij (patthar se banae ya khud-ba-khud bane narmadeshvar adi) 5. manas (shraddha aur samyanusar tatkal banakar pujit mitti adi se bane parthiv ling ya apne as-pas jahan apka man jur jae). svayanbhu ling ke darshan bhar se hi sab papon ka nash hona bataya gaya hai- drishtva lingan maheshasya svayanbhu tasya parvati. sarvapapvinirmuktah pare brahmani liyate.. svayanbhu ling bhi do tarah ke hote hain. 1. ek bar prakat hokar sada bane rahna, 2. samyanusar prakat hona. ye donon hi prakar atishay yani ashcharyakarak ling ya dev vigrah ke taur par jane jate hain. inmen bhi keval savan ke mahine men hi kramshah banne vale aur fir svayan hi vilin hone vale baba amrnath sarvavidit hai. kisi bhi akar men pujya ukt sandarbh granth men svayanbhu ling ke shikhar ya mastak ke rupbhed se sambhavit ye akar hain- 1.shankh ke saman, 2. kamal ke saman, 3. chatra ke saman, 4. do sir, 5. tin sir, 6. kripan ke saman, 7. kalash ke saman, 8. dhvaja ke saman, 9. gada ke saman, 10. trishul ke saman. inke akar kisi bhi nap ke hon ,sab halat men pujya aur darshaniya hain. amrnath yatra ke prasang men piche ekadh bar yah bat uthi thi ki gufa men ling prakritik nahin bana tha. use kritrim banaya gaya tha. lekin hamen dhyan rakhna chahie ki kritrim ya manvnirmit hone se bhi ukt parthiv ling aur har bar naya banane ke shastriya vidhan ke rahne se uski pavitrata par koi anch nahin ati hai. yah bat virsinhoday namak granth men spasht hai. pani ke hain tin rup ved kahte hain ki bhagvan shiv ka adi rup jal tin tarah se rahta hai- drav yani ap, gais ya vashp ya abhisravi aur daivi yani thos barf adi ke rup men jama hua. ( shan no daivi rabhishtay apo bhavantu pitye... shan yo rabhisravantu nah) in tinon men hi shiv satta hai. atah barf, ret, gili mitti adi se bane ling ko khas darja hasil hai. shivyatraah janaganaman ka mel adi shankracharya ne kaha hai ki puja aur bhakti ki parakashtha pane ka ek hi tarika hai- yatra. yah bhi bahri aur bhitri taur par do tarah ki hai. samajik, sanskritik aur insani ekta ke mahattva ko sthapit karne ke lie tirthayatra, kumbhaparva, chardham ki yatra ka niyam apne hi banaya tha. isse samy-samay par desh ki gangajmni sabhyata aur sanskriti ke poshan ko barhava aur samajik ekta ki bulandiyan hasil hoti hain. kanvryatra ya amrnath yatra men is tarah ki kaumi ekta ki misal kayam ki jati hai. jaise jaise dar, atank, bandishen barhti gai hain, vaise vaise hi yatriyon ki ginti bhi barhi hai. yah is bat ka pukhta sabut hai ki dharm dikhave men nahin hain, apitu yah hamare hindustan men dilon ki gahraiyon tak racha basa hai. us gahre dharatal par jane se bahri acharan ke upri fark ko metakar gajab ki ekta basti hai. ukt bahri yatra ke sath svayan hi samajik, arthik aur sanskritik (ajakal kuch asanskritik bhi) baten jur jati hain. dharmik yatra ya manoranjan yatriyon men koi vishuddh dharmabhav se, koi dharm aur manoranjan ke mile-jule bhav se aur koi sirf manoranjan ke bhav se ate hain. isse yatra ke mahattva men koi kami nahin ati hai. jaki rahi bhavna jaisi, prabhu murti dekhi tin taisi ke anusar apne bhavon ke anusar hi fal milta hai. adi shankracharya ne kaha hai ki kisi bhi sansarik kam ko karte hue ham jo bhi bhav rakhte hain, hamen vaisa hi fal milta hai. bahri dharmayatra jab adhyatm aur bhakti ke apne unche dharatal par a jati hai to munh se nikla har shabd stuti, uthaya gaya har kadam parikrama aur har gatividhi puja ka hi ang hokar ajpajap ki sthiti prapt hoti hai- sancharah padyoah pradakshinvidhiah stotrani sarva giro yadyat karm karomi tattadakhilan shambhostavaradhanam.. atah sab sanshyon se upar uthakar bhagvan shiv ki jalyatra men jaykar karte hue sab milakar bolen namaste astu rudrarupebhyah.
