vastu shastra ka vaigyanik evan adhyatmik adhar hai. yadi ap vedon par aur bhagvan par vishvas karte hain to koi karan nahin ki vastu par vishvas n karen. jis prakar hamara sharir panch mahabhuton se milakar bana hai, usi prakar kisi bhi bhavan ke nirman men panch mahabhuton ka paryapt dhyan rakha jaye to bhavan men rahne vale sukh se rahenge. ye panchmhabhut hain - prithvi, jal, agni, vayu aur akash.
hamara brahmand bhi inhin panch tatvon se bana hai. isilie kaha jata hai- ‘‘yatha pinde tatha brahmande. bhagvan ne hamen ye panch vastuen di hain- ‘bha’ se bhumi, g se gagan arthat, akash, v se vayu, a (a) se agni aur n se nir arthat jal. bhagvan ko un chihn dvara bhi rekhankit kiya jata hai. un ke pratirup a se agni, u se jal aur m se vayu, ardhachandra se bhumi aur shunya se akash - in panch tatvon ka bodh hota hai. isi prakar ‘vastu’ shabd bhi panch tatvon ka bodh karata hai. v se vayu, a se agni, s se srishti (bhumi), t se t arthat akash aur u se jal.

vastushastra men ishan kon ko khali, svachch aur halka rakhne ka karan yah bhi hai ki vahan vastu purush ka sir parta hai aur mastishk par adhik bhar nahin hona chahie. sath hi, nairritya ko sabse adhik bhari kiya jata hain jaise hamare sharir ka pura bhar hamare panjon par hota hai, vaise hi, vastupurush ke panje nairritya kon men parte hain. atah vastushastra men vah bhari vajan ke lie rakha gaya hai. vastu purush ki sthiti se jo akriti banti hai, vah vargakar hai.
atah ‘vargakar’ akriti ko hi vastu niyamon men shreshth mana gaya hai. prithvi ka jhukav: hamari prithvi apni dhuri par ek vishesh akriti men jhuki hui hai jismen yah 23 ½ nairritya kon (dakshin-pashchim) se ishan kon (uttara-purva) ki or jhuki hui hai. atah santulan ko banae rakhne ke lie tatha prakritik urjaon ka jo prabhav prithvi par hai, use apne bhavan men banae rakhne ke lie ghar ka ishan kon nicha aur nairritya kon uncha rakha jata hai. ab ham panchmhabhuton par charcha karenge-
1. prithvi prithvi ke bina avas aur jivan ki kalpana bhi nahin ki ja sakti. prithvi, gurutva-shakti aur chunbkiya shakti ka kendra hai. inhin shaktiyon ke karan prithvi apne dharatal par banne vale bhavnon ko sudrirh adhar deti hai. vastushastra men bhavan nirman ke lie bhumi ki pariksha, mitti ki gunavatta, bhumi ki dhalan, bhukhand ka akar, bhumi se niklne vali vastuon ka shubhashubh vichar, bhumi tak pahunchne ke marg v vedh adi ka vichar kiya jata hai.
2. jal prithvi ke bad mahatvapurn sthan jal ka ata hai. jal hi hamare jivan ka adhar hai. adhikatar bastiyan samudra, nadi evan jhil ke kinare basi hain. shuddh jal ke kai satvik gun hain. jal ki adhikta se barh aur kami hone se sukha par jata hai. vastushastra men jal ki upalabdhata sunishchit karne ke lie nal, boring, kuan, bhumigat tanki, bhavan ke upar ki tanki, septik taink, sivej, nali, farsh ki dhalan, chat ki dhalan adi ka vichar kiya jata hai.
3. agni agni ka pramukh srot surya hai jiski garmi, tej aur prakash se pura vishva v brahmand prakashvan hai. surya se sapekshata se prithvi par din-rat hote hain, rituen parivartit hoti hain, jalvayu men parivartan hote hain. vastu shastra men bhavan ke andar agni tatva ke uchit talmel ke lie baramda, khirkiyan, darvaje, bijli ke mitar, rasoi men agni jalane ke sthan adi ka vichar kiya jata hai.
4. vayu jis prakar hamare sharir men vayu sharir ka sanchalan karti hai, usi prakar bhavan men vayu svasth vatavaran ka sanchalan karti hai. manav ke sharirik evan mansik santulan ko banae rakhne ke lie bhavan men khuli jagah, baramde, chat ki unchai, dvar, khirkiyan v per-paudhon par vichar kiya jata hai.
5. akash akash anant hai. isse shabd ki utpatti hoti hai. akash men upasthit urja ki tivrata, prakash, laukik kirnen, vidyut chunbkiya tarangane tatha gurutvakarshan shakti, prithvi tatha brahmasthan khula rakhne ki sthiti par nirbhar karta hai. chat ki unchai, baramda, khirki aur darvajon ka vichar karke, bhavan men akash tatva ko sunishchit kiya jata hai.
is prakar yah spasht hota hai ki bhumi, jal, agni, vayu aur akash- in panchon tatvon ke uchit talmel se bhavan ka vatavaran sukhamay banaya ja sakta hai. pratyek vyakti dharm, arth, kam v moksh ki kamna karta hai. sharir ko chalayman rakhne ke lie arth, buddhi ko nirmal banane ke lie dharm, man ko prasann rakhne ke lie kam tatha atma ko moksh chahie. panch - tatvon ka sahi prayog kar unke dvara svayan ko sukhamay banaya ja sakta hai.
