parashar ke anusar pratyek vyakti ki mrityu ka svarup bhi uske purva janm ke karmon ke adhar par hi nirdharit hota hai. mrityoprant sharir nasht hokar panchmhabhuton men vilin ho jata hai lekin sharir men sanrakshit shakti nasht nahin hoti. yah karmanusar punarjanm ko prapt karti hai ya ati shreshth karmon ke falasvarup parmatma men vilin ho jati hai.

shankracharya (advait vedant pravartaka) ke anusar vyakti jab tak agyanavash yah sochta hai ki atma brahm se bhinn hai, tab tak vah punarjanm ke chakkar men fansa rahta hai. is prakar, maya ke vashibhut hokar vyakti bar-bar janm maran ke chakkar men ghumta rahta hai. ramanuj (vishisht dvait ke pravartaka) ka kahna hai ki jiv sukh bhogne ki kamna se itna prabhavit rahta hai ki use bar-bar janm lena parta hai. vyakti ki sukh ki ichchaen is jivan men purn nahin ho saktin, islie use anya janm dharan karna parta hai.
