dipavli ka mahatva davali ka parva kartik amavasya ke din, har varsh, manaya jata hai. kyonki ram ratri men ayodhya vapis aye the aur amavas ki rat thi, islie ayodhyavasiyon ne pure shahar ko dipkon se jagmga diya tha.

divali se do baton ka gahra sanbandh hai- ek to lakshmi pujan aur dusra ram ka lanka vijay ke bad ayodhya lautna. prachlit manyataon ke anusar is mahaparva par raghuvanshi bhagvan shri ram ki ravan par vijay ke bad ayodhya agaman par nagrikon ne dipavli ko alok parva ke rup men manaya. tabhi se yah dip mahotsav rashtra ke vijay parva ke rup men manaya jata hai.

donon hi rupon men ye bhagvan vishnu ki patniyan hain. shridevi ko kahin-kahin bhu devi bhi kahte hain. isi tarah lakshmi ke do svarup hain. sachchidanandmyi lakshmi shri narayan ke hriday men vas karti hain. dusra rup hai bhautik ya prakritik sanpatti ki adhishthatri devi ka. yahi shridevi ya bhudevi hain. sab sanpattiyon ki adhishthatri shridevi shuddh satvamyi hain. inke pas lobh, moh, kam, krodh aur ahankar adi doshon ka pravesh nahin hai.

yah svarg men svarg lakshmi, rajaon ke pas rajalakshmi, manushyon ke grih men grihalakshmi, vyapariyon ke pas vanijyalakshmi tatha yuddh vijetaon ke pas vijayalakshmi ke rup men rahti hain. vaidik purush sukt se puran aon tak, lakshmi parmeshvar ko aishvarya shakti ke rup men svikrit hain.

is sanbandh men mahatvapurn tathya yah hai ki lakshmi keval bahri vastu nahin hai, yah vastutah atmavibhuti hai jo is rup men sare praniyon ke andar vidyaman hai, parantu jo apni atm jyoti ko prakashit kar pata hai, vahi isse yatharth rup men labhanvit ho pata hai.
