rudraksh, am ke vriksh ke saman dikhne vale ek vriksh ka fal hai. ye vriksh dakshin eshiya men pramukhtah java, maleshiya, taivan, bharat aur nepal men pae jate hain. bharat men ye mukhya rup se asam, arunachal pradesh aur dehradun men pae jate hain. rudraksh ke fal se chilka nikalakar uske bij ko jal men galakar saf kiya jata hai. iske bij hi vastutah rudraksh ke rup men mala adi banane ke kam men ate hain. spasht hai ki inhin bijon ke upyog se mala ka gathan hota hai. siddh muhurt men yogya vidvanon ke marga-darshan men jan-sadharan isi ko dharan kar dhanya ho jata hai.

yahan yah ullekhniya hai ki rudraksh ke bhitar prakritik chidra hote hain aur santre ki tarah fanken bani rahti hain, jo ‘mukh’ kahlati hain. ‘rudraksha’ nam ki mahima shabdik vyutpatti aur pauranik sadanrbh ‘rudraksha’ nam ki mahima adbhut hai. sanskrit vyakaran ke anusar, is shabd ki utpatti is tarah hoti hai:- rudra’$‘aksha’, arthat rudra ki ankh. bhagvan shiv se rudraksh ka sanbandh ‘shiv puran’ ke anusar rudraksh ka sanbandh bhagvan shiv ke ashruknon se hai. aisi manyata hai ki jab sati ke viyog se shiv ka hriday dravit hua, to unke netron se ashru niklne lage jo anek sthanon par gire aur inhin se rudraksh vriksh ki utpatti hui. atah jo jatak ‘rudraksha’ dharan karta hai, use sabhi kashton se mukti milti hai. ‘padmapuran’ ke anusar satyug men tripur nam ka daitya, brahmaji se vardan prapt kar, kuch jyada hi krur ho chala tha.

sabhi lokon men usne utpat macha rakha tha. tab samast devi-devtaon ne devadhidev bhagvan shiv ki sharan li. prabhu ne apni divya drishti ka upyog kiya tatha ek shaktishali ban se use mar giraya. is lokoddharak karya ke sanpadan se, atyant shram ke karan, bhagvan shivji ke sharir se jo banuden (pasine ki bunden) niklin, ve bhumi par girin tatha unhin se rudraksh vriksh ki utpatti hui. shrimaddevi bhagavat men yah kaha gaya hai ki tripur namak rakshas ko marne hetu bhagvan shiv ki ankhen sahastra varshon tak khuli rahin tatha thakan ke karan unke netron se ashru bah nikle, jinse rudraksh ka vriksh utpann hua. rudraksh ke janmadata bhagvan shiv hi hain. upar varnit sabhi kathaon aur pauranik sandarbhon se isi nishkarsh ki pushti hoti hai ki rudraksh ke janmadata bhagvan shiv hi hain.

rudraksh ka upyog tatha mahatva- aitihasik prishth bhumi ke sandarbh men yah sarvavidit hai ki bhagvan shiv ke divya bhal par chandrama sada virajman rahta hai, hamesha hi chandra ki shital kirnen unke tejasvi kapal se niklti rahti hain aur yahi karan hai ki chandra grah utpann koi bhi kasht ho, to rudraksh dharan se vah samul nasht ho jata hai. yah bhi ek anubhut satya hai ki shani ke dvara pirit chandra arthat sadhesati se mukti dilane men rudraksh atyadhik upyogi hota hai. isi prakar se, kisi bhi tarah ki mansik pira, udvignata tatha rog se mukti rudraksh dharan se sanbhav hai. yah ek sarvagyat tathya hai ki bhagvan shiv sarp ki mala gale men dharan karte hain, atah kal-sarp se utpann kashton se mukti men bhi rudraksh dharan karne se labh hota hai. yah visheshtah upyogi aur asrkarak hota hai, anubhvi shiv bhakton ne bhi iski pushti ki hai.

rudraksh ke prakar shivpuran aur padmapuran adi granthon ke anusar rudraksh ekmukhi se chaidhmukhi-chaidah prakar ke pae jate hain. fir bhi yah svikar karne men koi apatti nahin hai ki samanyatah panchmukhi rudraksh hi vyavhar men pae jate hain. ekmukhi rudraksh vastutah atyant durlabh hota hai. sach to yah hai ki shuddh ekmukhi rudraksh to dekhne men ata hi nahin. isi prakar se nepal ka golakar ekmukhi rudraksh ki prapti bhi atyadhik kathin hai. yahi karan hai ki dakshin bharat men paya jane vala ekmukhi kaju dana atyadhik prachlit hai aur isi prakar se asam men paya jane vala gol dane ka rudraksh bhi vyavhar men bahut prachlit hai tatha upyog men bhi ata hai. yun to atthais mukh vale rudraksh mil jate hain, kintu ikkismukhi rudraksh ke upar ke rudraksh bhi bahut kathinai se mil pate hain. rudraksh ke kuch aur rup bhi dekhne men ate hain, jaise, gauri shankar, gauri ganesh aur trijuti adi.

gauri-shankr-rudraksh men do rudraksh prakritik rup se ek dusre se jure rahte hain. ye donon rudraksh gauri aur shankar ke pratik hain. gauri-shankar rudraksh dharan karne se danpatya jivan men madhurta tatha sarsta bani rahti hai. gauri-ganesh rudraksh men bhi do rudraksh jure rahte hain, ek bara-gauri ka pratik aur dusra chota, ganesh ka pratik, mano, parvati ji- gauri ji ki god men bal ganesh baithe hon. rudraksh ki pahchan rudraksh ke mukh ki pahchan, use bich se do tukron men katakar asani se ki ja sakti hai. jitne mukh hote hain, utni hi fanken nazar ati hain. yah bhi gyatavya hai ki pratyek rudraksh kisi n kisi grah ka pratinidhitva karta hi hai. vibhinn prakar ke rudrakshon ka upyog kai rogon ke upchar hetu kiya jata hai.

rudraksh ka svarup bahuayami hai shastrakaron ne vistar se rudraksh ke bahuayami svarup par prakash dala hai. chikitsa, vyavsay, lok evam parlok ki sabhi samasyaon ka nidan ekmev rudraksh se hi sanbhav hai. rudraksh dharan vidhi somvar ko pratah kal ki shubh vela men, snan ke pashchat, asan par baithakar, pahle kachche dudh se evan fir ganga jal se dhokar aur ashtagandh se suvasit kar, ‘‘un namah shivay,’’ mantra ka jap kar rudraksh dharan karna chahie. kuch sujhav rudraksh se purn labh prapti hetu use rat ko utarakar tatha pratah snanadi ke bad mantra japakar dharan karna chahie. yah sabhi jante hain ki shiv, sadaiv shakti yukt hi hote hain, atah striyan bhi rudraksh avashyamev dharan kar sakti hain.

gauri-shankar rudraksh tatha gauri-ganesh rudraksh to visheshtah striyon ke lie hi hote hain. pratham se vaivahik sukh evan dvitiya se santan-sukh ki prapti hoti hai. vishesh shuchita ki drishti se rajo darshan ke tin dinon ki avdhi men rudraksh n dharan karen, to uttam hai. asli rudraksh kahan se prapt ho? asli rudraksh ki prapti kaise sanbhav hai? yah prashn bhi, is prasang men vicharniya hai. rudraksh ke bare men kai prakar ki bhrantiyan bhi pai jati hain. aisi paristhiti men, kisi vishvasniya pratishthan se hi mahange evan asli rudraksh kharidna chahie.
