tulsi jitni dharmik manyata kisi bhi vriksh ki nahin hai. in sabhi dharmik manyataon ke piche ek vaigyanik rahasya chipa hua hai. tulsi vriksh ek divya aushdhi vriksh hai tatha kasturi ki tarah ek bar mrit prani ko jivit karne ki kshamata rakhta hai. tulsi ke madhyam se kainsar jaisi asadhya bimari bhi thik ho jati hai. ayurved ke granthon men tulsi ki bari bhari mahima varnit hai. iske patte ubal kar pine se samanya jvar, jukam, khansi evan maleriya men tatkal rahat milti hai. tulsi ke patton men sankramak rogon ko rokne ki adbhut shakti hai. prasad par isko rakhne se prasad vikrit nahin hota. panchamrit v charnamrit men isko dalne se bahut der rakha gaya jal v panchamrit kharab nahin hote, usmen kire nahin parte. tulsi ki manjrion men ek vishesh khushbu hoti hai, jisse vishadhar sanp uske nikat nahin ate.

iske anek aushdhiya gunon ke karan hi, iski puja ki jati hai. ‘ranvir bhakti ratnakr’ granth ke anusar- ‘‘tulsigandhamaday yatra machchati marutah. vidisha dishashch putaah bhutagramashchaturvidhah..’’ tulsi ki gandh se suvasit vayu jahan tak ghumti hai, vahan tak disha aur vidishaon ko pavitra karta hai aur udbhij, shvedaj, andaj tatha jarayuj- charon prakar ke praniyon ko pranvan karta hai. ‘kriyayogsar’ namak ek anya granth ke anusar-tulsi ke sparsh matra se maleriya ityadi rogon ke kitanu evan vividh vyadhiyan turant nasht ho jati hain. prashna: parmatma ek hai ya anek? prayah sabhi dharma-sampraday men parmatma ke rup men ek ishvar ko mana jata hai par hindu dharm men brahma, vishnu, mahesh, indra, varun, ganesh, hanuman evan nana prakar ke devi-devta hain? aisa kyon? uttara: ‘brahmasutra’ men kaha hai- ‘ekan sadvipraah bahudha vadanti’.

us ek hi paramatattva parmatma ko log anek namon se pukarte hain. brahma, vishnu, rudra, indra, varun, yam, durga adi ek hi paramatattva parmatma ke vibhinn nirvishesh nam hain. ise laukik drishtant se samjhen, jaise - ‘bharat sarkar’ shabd bharat par shasan karne vali ek rajasatta ka samashti nam hai. parantu pradhanmantri, rashtrapti, pradhan senapti, vittamantri, rakshamantri, nyaymantri, yatayat mantri, sanchar mantri - ye sabhi vyaktigat nam alg-alag rup v svarup men hote huye bhi apni-apni paribhasha ke anusar ek khas vibhag v mahkme ka parichay dete hain.

samashti drishti se chahe in sabko bharat sarkar hi kaha jayega par vyashti drishti se pradhanmantri, senapti, udyogmantri ya vitt mantri ko paraspar ult-fer karke nahin bol sakte. arthat senapti ko vittamantri nahin kah sakte, vitt mantri se sanchar mantralay ka kam nahin le sakte. usi prakar jal ka devta varun, srishti ka karta brahma, palan karta vishnu, sanharak rudra, shakti ki adhishthatri durga, dhan ki adhishthatri lakshmi, vidya ki devi sarasvati, riddhi-siddhi ke data ganesh- sabke alg-alag vibhag hain, alg-alag svarup v alg-alag karya hain jo ki purnatah vyavharik v vaigyanik hain.
