ganesh ji buddhi aur vidya ke adhishthata devta hain. tarka-vitark men unka sani koi nahin. ek-ek bat ya samasya ki tah men jana, uski mimansa karna aur uske nishkarsh tak pahunchna unka shauk hai. mushak bhi tarka-vitark men piche nahin hain. har vastu ko kat-chant kar rakh deta hai aur utna hi furtila bhi hai jo jagruk rahne ka sandesh deta hai.
ganesh ji ne kadachit chuhe ke inhin gunon ko dekhte hue use apna vahan chuna hoga. mushak ki tulna parabrahm se bhi ki gai hai. jis prakar mushak bil ke bhitar rahta hai aur kisi ko dikhai nahin deta usi prakar brahm bhi sabke bhitar rahta hai aur kisi ko najar nahin ata. mushak bahut utpat bhi machata hai, vah ann ko kam khata hai lekin kutr-kutar kar bikher adhik deta hai.
is tarah mushak kheti ka shatru ban jata hai. aise krishi vinashak shatruon par vijay pana bhi avashyak hai. lokakalyan ki bhavna se prerit hokar bhi ganesh ji ne mushak ko apne vahan ke rup men chuna hoga. unke vahan ko lekar kai kathaen prachlit hain. kaha jata hai ek bar gajmukhasur daitya se ganesh ji ka bhayankar yuddh ho gaya. is yuddh men ganesh ji ka ek dant dut gaya.
unhonne us tute dant se gajmukhasur par aisa prahar kiya ki vah ghabrakar chuha ban kar bhagne laga, parantu ganesh ji ne use pakar liya aur vah daitya darakar unka vahan ban gaya. isi prakar ek anya katha ke anusar ek mahablvan mushak ne parashar rishi ke ashram men bhayankar utpat macha diya, ashram ke sare mitti ke patra torakar sara ann samapt kar diya, ashram ki vatika ujar dali, rishiyon ke samast valkal vastra aur ganrath kutar die.
ashram ki sabhi upyogi vastuen nasht ho jane ke karan parashar rishi bahut dukhi hue aur apne purva janm ke karmon ko kosne lage ki kis apakarm ke falasvarup mere ashram ki shanti bhang ho gai hai. ab is chuhe ke atank se kaise nijat mile? tab ganesh ji ne parashar ji ko kaha ki main abhi is mushak ko apna vahan bana leta hun.
ganesh ji ne apna tejasvi pash fenka, pash us mushak ka picha karta patal tak gaya aur uska kanth bandh liya aur use ghasit kar bahar nikal gajanan ke sammukh upasthit kar diya. pash ki pakar se mushak muchrchit ho gaya. muchrcha khulte hi mushak ne ganesh ji ki aradhna shuru kar di aur apne pranon ki bhikh mangne laga. ganesh ji mushak ki stuti se prasann to hue lekin usse kaha ki tune brahmanon ko bahut kasht diya hai.
mainne dushton ke nash evan sadhu purushon ke kalyan ke lie hi avtar liya hai, lekin sharnagat ki raksha bhi mera param dharm hai, islie jo vardan chaho mang le. aisa sunakar us utpati mushak ka ahankar jag utha, bola, ‘mujhe apse kuch nahin mangna hai, ap chahen to mujhse var ki yachna kar sakte hain.’
mushak ki garva bhari vani sunakar ganesh ji man hi man muskarae aur kaha, ‘yadi tera vachan satya hai to tu mera vahan ban ja. mushak ke tathastu kahte hi ganesh ji turant us par arurh ho gae. ab bhari bharakam gajanan ke bhar se dabakar mushak ko pranon ka sankat ban aya. tab usne gajanan se prarthana ki ki ve apna bhar uske vahan karne yogya bana len. is tarah mushak ka garva chur kar ganesh ji ne use apna vahan bana liya.
is prakar ganesh ji ka yah vahan bhautik jivan ki vyakhya se lekar adhyatmik jivan ki or bhi sanket deta hai. ganesh ji ki sund ganesh ji ki sund hamesha hilti-dulti rahti hai aur ek prakar se unke hamesha sachet hone ka sanket deti hai.

lanbe kan valon ko bhagyashali bhi kaha jata hai. shri ganesh to bhagya vidhata aur shubh fal data hain. ganesh ji ke kanon se yah sandesh milta hai ki manushya ko sunni sabki chahie, lekin apne buddhi vivek aur anubhvi logon se vichar karne ke bad hi kisi karya ka kriyanvayan karna chahie.

ganesh ji vighnaharta hain. gur, til, besan, ata, motichur, mung, nariyal, shakrkand chahe kisi ke bhi ladduon ka bhog laga den, ganesh ji shighra prasann ho jate hain. har samanya vyakti ganesh ji ko modak charha kar prasann kar sakta hai. kisi bhi shubh avasar par munh mitha karane ke lie ladduon ki mang bhi sabhi ki or se hoti hai kyonki laddu to amir-garib sabhi ki pahanuch ke bhitar hain, sarvasulabh hain.
modak anand ka pratik bhi hai. ganesh ji apne ek hath men modak se bhara patra rakhte hain. kahin-kahin unki sund ke agrabhag par modak dikhai deta hai. modak ko mahabuddhi ka pratik bataya gaya hai. paù puran ke srishti khand men ullekh milta hai ki modak ka nirman amrit se hua hai. devtaane dvara putra janm ke avasar par yah divya modak parvati ko pradan kiya gaya.
modak brahmashakti ka bhi dyotak hai. modak ban jane ke bad vah andar se dikhai nahin deta hai ki usmen kya-kya samahit hai. isi tarah purn brahm bhi maya se achchadit hone ke karan vah hamen dikhai nahin deta. ise asvad se hi jana ja sakta hai. usi tarah brahmanand bhi anubhavagamya hai. modak ki gol akriti mahashunya ka pratik hai. yah samast vastujagat, jo drishti ki sima men hai athva usse pare hai, shunya se utpann hota hai aur shunya men hi lin ho jata hai.
shunya ki yah vishalta purnatva hai. ganesh ji ka dant ganesh ji ki kai pratimaon men ek hath men unka tuta hua dant bhi dikhai deta hai. kaha jata hai ki isi tute dant ki lekhni banakar unhonne mahabharat likha tha. ganesh ji ke hath evan hathon men virajit chihnon ka mahatva ganesh ji chaturbhuj hain. ve jal tatva ke adhipti hain. jal ke char gun hote hain- shabd, sparsh, rup tatha ras. srishti bhi svedaj, andaj, udibhajj tatha jarayuj char prakar ki hoti hai.
purusharth bhi char prakar ke hote hain- dharm, arth, kam tatha moksh. gita ke anusar bhagvan ke bhakt char prakar ke hote hain. is prakar ganesh ji ke char hath chaturvidh srishti, chaturvidh purusharth, chaturvidh bhakt tatha chaturvidh param upasna ka sanket karte hain.
pash: ganesh ji ke ek hath men pash (granthi, bandhn) vidyaman hai. yah pash rag, moh aur tamogun ka pratik mana jata hai. isi pash ke dvara shri ganesh bhakton ke pap-samuhon aur sanpurn prarabdh ka akarshan karke ankush se unka nash kar dete hain.
ankush: ganesh ji ke hath men nyayshastra ka ankush hai tatha yah pravriÿia tatha rajogun ka chihn hai. yah krodh ka bhi sanketak hai. isi ke dva ara ganpti dushton ko dandit karte hain.
parshu: ganesh ji ke hath men parshu (farsa) pramukhta se dikhai deta hai. yah tej dhar vala hai. ise tarkashastra ka pratik mana jata hai.
varmudra: ganpti prayah varmudra men dikhai dete hain. varmudra satvagun ki pratik hai. isi se ve bhakton ki manokamna puri kar, apne abhay hast se sanpurn bhayon se bhakton ki raksha karte hain. is prakar ganesh ji ka upasak rajogun, tamogun aur satvagun in tinon gunon se upar uthakar ek vishesh anand ka anubhav karne lagta hai.
is prakar ganesh ji ka vahya vyaktitva jitna nirala hai, antrik gun bhi utne hi anuthe hain. yahi karan he ki unke vyaktitva ke bare men kitna hi adhyayan kar liya jae magar man men jigyasa evan rahasya ka anubhav pramukhta se dikhai deta hai.
