In the first part of this article an exampled horoscope was discussed to determine the financial status from Arudha Lagna. Each and every rule cannot be applied verbatim. To make it easier to understand it is advised to follow the rules as detailed under:
1. Now see the influence of planet/planets on the 11th house from Arudha lagna. Influence can be by placement of planets or by the aspect of planets.
2. Mark these planets which aspect the 11th house from Arudha lagna.
3. Now reckon the 2nd, 4th and 11th houses from these aspecting planets so as to cause Shubh Argala Raja Yoga, at the same time this is to be kept in mind that Subh Argala is not being cancelled by the placement of planets in 12th, 10th and 3rd houses respectively.
4. If there is a planet in the 2nd house from the aspecting planet giving rise to Subh Argala but at the same time if there is a planet in the 12th house from the aspecting planet Shubh Argala caused gets cancelled. Same way there should not be any planet in 10th house while there is planet/planets in the 4th house from the aspecting planet. Similarly for the 11th house 3rd house should be vacant.
5. Now there are some exceptions, in case Shubh Argala is caused by two or more planets while Argala obstructing place is having one planet in such a case shubh argala keeps on giving results but with restrictions.
6. In case shub argala is cause by natural benefic planet while the argala obstructing place is occupied by malefic in that case too shubh argala works but with restriction.
7. In case shubh argala is caused by its own lord or by an exalted planet and at the same time there is a planet in argala obstructing place in that case shubh argala remains intact.
8. The financial status will keep on rising depending upon the Argalas caused, planets involved and argala obstructing places are free from the influence of planets.
9. Opposite to Shubha Argala causing places in case the Argala obstructing places have planet/planets it will give rise to penury yoga.
10. Yogada planet placed in/or aspecting the 11th house from Arudha Lagna To make the subject easier to understand we shall discuss.
The above mentioned points by drawing a Arudha Lagna chart along with the Natal chart and than applying the rules as mentioned above: Male Native , DOB : 08.05.1965, TOB : 08.45AM IST, POB : Chandigarh Ascendant Lagna is Gemini and lord of ascendant Mercury is posited in 10th house in sign Pisces. Now as per rules, mentioned in earlier part of this topic to determine the Arudha or Paad Lagna, sign Sagittarius will become Arudha lagna. 11th house from Arudha lagna is Libra.
This 11th is being influenced by Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus by aspect. Out of four aspecting planets Jupiter and Venus are natural benefic planets while Mars and Saturn are natural malefic planets. Thus native will earn money by fair as well as unfair means. 12th house from Arudha Lagna is being influenced by exalted Sun and the Moon. Out of four aspecting planets Venus is lord of 11th house from Arudha lagna while Jupiter is lord of Arudha lagna and Saturn is lord of 9th house from natal ascendant thus these points scores over the aspect of the Sun and the Moon on the 12th house from Arudha lagna.
Thus making the native a millionaire, havin! huge property and fleet of luxurious four wheelers. Mars and Saturn are aspecting 11 house from Arudha lagna indicates native will get help of co born in earning wealth. One of native’s brother is settled in USA and he helped the native to establish a consultancy firm in USA. भा.: लाभे (43/12=7) आरुढलग्नात्सप्तमे राहुणा केतुना वा युते उदर रोगो जायते। Translation of Sutra 13 says that in case Rahu or Ketu happens to occupy the 7th house from Arudha lagna one suffers from diseases related to stomach. सू. 14: तत्र केतुना झटिति ज्यानि लिङ्गानि। भा.: तत्र (26/12=2) आरूढ लग्नात् द्वितीये केतौ सति श्रीध्रवार्धक्य चिह्नानि भवन्ति। Tatra means two. Hence in case the second house from Arudha Lagna happens to be occupied by Ketu the symptoms of old age appear at a young age. भा.: आरूढलग्नात् द्वितीये व्यस्ततया समस्ततया वा चन्द्रादिषु सत्सु श्रीमन्तोभवन्ति। The Moon, Jupiter and Venus or any two of the three influencing the 2nd house from Arudha Lagna by way of placement or aspect, bestows Sreemanta Yoga.
By the presence of Sreemanta Yoga one earns fabulous wealth. NOTE: Here the Sage requires the influence of above said planets on the 2nd house from the Arudha Lagna. Out of three Jupiter and Venus are natural benefics while beneficence of the Moon depends upon its proximity from the Sun. Hence this Moon should be 80degrees away, either side, from the Moon. Further more the planets influencing the 2nd house from Arudha Lagna the quantum of wealth will be much more as compared with lesser number of planets influencing the said house. भा.: आरूढलग्नात् द्वितीये उच्चग्रहे वा सति श्रीमन्तो भवन्ति। The influence of an exalted planet on the 2nd house from Arudha Lagna give rise to Sreemanta Yoga but quality of the yoga improves due the exaltation of planet. भा.: कारकांशमनुसृत्य यद्यदत्यत्फलमवोचि तत्सर्वमारूढ लग्नमनुसृत्य प्रोयेण बाधकामावेऽवगन्तव्यम्। बाधकसत्वे तु त्याज्यम्। Results as mentioned in case of Karakamsha and 2nd house from it , should be judged from the 2nd house from Arudha lagna. NOTE:Here the sage opines that the 2nd house from Arudha lagna and Karakamsha lagana should be studied collectively.
In case the results from these two lagans vary one should take while applying the rule. भा.: लाभस्सप्तमो भावः तत्पदे तदारूढे आरूढलग्नात् केन्द्रे त्रिकोणे वासति श्रमन्तो भवन्ति। In case Dara Pada falls in a Kendra or a Trikona from Arudha Lagna again Sreemant Yoga is caused. भा.: लग्नपदात् दारपदे षष्ठेऽष्ठमे वा व्यये वा सति अन्यथा स्युःदरिद्रा भवन्ति। अन्यथा दुरूस्याः इति पाठान्तरेण केन्द्रत्रिकोण वर्जित स्थाने दुस्स्थाः दुःखिनो भवन्तीत्यर्थः। The sage opines that in case Dara Pada is located in 6th, 8th or12th from the Arudha Lagna it brings poverty on the native. Some of the commentators opine that the above mentioned disposition of Dara Pada and Arudha Lagna makes the native mentally distressed and miserable. भा.: लग्नपदात् दारपदे केन्द्र त्रिकोणोपचमेषु वर्तमाने द्वयोः जायपत्योः मित्रता स्यात् अत्रोपचय पदं षष्ठातिरिक्तम् रिपुरोगचिन्तास्तु वैरमित्यग्रिम सूभानुशेद्यात्।
In case Dara Pada happens to fall in a Kendra or a trikona or in any of the Upachaya houses when counted from Arudha Lagna, there will be mutual affection and amicability between husband and wife, Though 6th house is also an Upachaya house it -has been deliberately omitted since 6th and 8th relation between Dara pada and Arudha lagna is considered inauspicious. The same way the sage suggests to reckon the Putra pada Matru Pada Bharatru pada with reference to Arudha lagna. NOTE: Here the sage is clear about the relations of native with various relatives would be cordial or hostile should be studied from position of a relative pada from the Arudha lagna. In case a specific pada is in a Kendra or a Trikona or it is 3rd or 11th from Arudha lagna native will maintain cordial relations with the relative as indicated by the pada. सू. श. रिपुरोगचिन्तासु वैरम्। श्लोक: लग्नारूढं दारपदं मिथः केन्द्रगतं यदि। त्रिलाभे वा त्रिकोणे वातथा राजान्यथाऽयमः।। आरूढौ पुत्र पित्रोस्तु त्रिलाभौ केन्द्रगौ यदि। द्वयो मैत्री त्रिकोणेतु साम्यं द्वेषोऽन्यथा भवेत्।। जातकद्वयमालोच्य चिंतनीयं विचक्षणैः। इति।
Numerical value of the word Ripu, used in Sutra No.21 is 12 while the value of Roga is 8 and value of word Chinta is 6. Thus this sutra clarifies the previous Sutra more elaborately. In case pada of any bhava is in 6th, 8th or 12th from Arudha lagna one will have hostile relation as indicated by the concerned bhava and by its pada. Suppose in case Pitra pacta is in 6th or 8th or 12th from Arudha lagna native and the son will not maintain cordial relations with each other. In case these two in Kendra or Trikona or in 3rd or 11th position from each other, the relations between the two will be amicable and the native will enjoy Raja yoga. श्लोक: स्थाली पुलाकन्यायेन पत्नीत्यादि सूत्रद्वये त्रिविध शुभार्गलस्य प्रयोजनं विशितष्टि। सूः 22- पत्नीलाभयोः दिट्या निराभासार्गलया। By the word “sthali pulaka nayaya” used in Sloka, the sage now makes an exposition of the use of three categories of Argala.
Numerical value of word, Patni is 1 while that of Labha is 7, used in Sutra No.22. And the whole sutra means as under: Locate the planet/planets aspecting Lagna and its 7th house and this will be aspecting planet/planets-2. Now locate the Argala places from this AP-2 viz. 2nd 4th and 11th. While these Argala forming signs/houses are occupied by planets and the .virodhargala signs/houses, viz.12th, l0th and 3rd respectively are vacant a powerful shubhargala yoga IS caused which will give prosperity to the native. In case two argala forming signs/houses are occupied the quantum of wealth will be less and so on.
Further the potentiality of this Shubhargala be categorized into three orders, viz: superior, above average and average, by the number ,strength and nature of planet/planets. 1.Benefic planet/planets involved... Fabulous wealth. 2.Benefic as well as malefic planet/planets involved... ...Sometime fabulous and sometime mediocre. 3.Malefic planet/planets involved Mediocre. Here nirbhasargala is worth mentioning and it works independently with out and any cancellation. This second category of argala and known as special argala which confers on the native an independent Rajayoga as well as wealth. (To know more about Nirbhasargala refer to earlier article dealing with Argala) In the previous sutra the sage has enunciated the use of principal and the specific Argala yogas.
In sutra 23 the sage suggests the use of supplementary Argala or special Argala by using word “Pragwat trikone”. Take e aspecting planet/planets from and its 7th house. In case the 5th house from the aspecting planet is occupied by the benefic planet/planets and the 9th house from the aspecting planet is vacant or 9th house from the aspecting planet is occupied by benefic planet/planets and at the same time 5th i house is vacant. Thus the shubhargala is caused by way as mentioned above gives the native fabulous wealth.
NOTE: Here the sage is considerate about secondary Argala which he is the native earning a lot of wealth. The commentators opine in case there are malefic planet/planets in 5th or 9th house from the aspecting planet (AP-2) at the same time 9th or 5th house is vacant, the argala thus caused is capable of giving the native enough wealth in case these malefic planet/planets are either exalted or they happen be placed in their Mooltrikona Sign
